Flapper Fridays
First Friday of Every Month
Happy Hour: 5-9PM w/ Live Music 7-9PM
Held on the first Friday of every month, Flapper Friday invites guests to embrace the spirit of the Roaring Twenties. Gatsby-inspired attire, flapper dresses, mobster suits, moonshiner looks, and vintage accessories are encouraged—but never required.
Guests who join the fun may even receive a special surprise from the bar.
No costume? Visit the upstairs lounge, where you'll find hats, accessories, and prohibition-era props available to borrow for the evening.

Held on the last Wednesday of every month, Wine with Words Book Club brings together guests beneath downtown Pickens for an evening of stories, conversation, and shared ideas in a hidden speakeasy setting.

A Regular at The Downlow
If you spend any time at The Downlow, you may notice a familiar presence moving quietly through the lounge.
Brutus, is a regular fixture of the speakeasy and can often be found lounging comfortably on a couch or making his way through the crowd in search of a friendly hand and a bit of attention.
He’s part of the atmosphere here—calm, social, and very much at home beneath downtown Pickens. If you see him during your visit, there’s no need to be alarmed. He’s simply enjoying the evening, just like everyone else at The Downlow.
